About C. Mark Taylor

Stories shaped by building, teaching, and serving.

C. Mark Taylor writes stories about ordinary people discovering the extraordinary faithfulness of God in the ordinary rhythms of life.

His novels explore family, discipleship, redemption, inheritance, and the quiet work of grace that often goes unnoticed until years later.

Away from the writing desk, Mark has spent much of his life building and remodeling homes and serving people through his local church. He values opening Scripture with men and children, walking alongside fellow believers, and loving people through the ordinary work God places before him.

He has also spent many years studying and practicing martial arts. The discipline, patience, humility, and perseverance learned through that journey have shaped the way he approaches life, craftsmanship, and storytelling.

His hope is simple: that every story would point readers toward the beauty, sufficiency, and glory of Jesus Christ.

Building Before Writing

The strongest things are built slowly.

Building and remodeling homes taught me that foundations matter, patience matters, and the details hidden beneath the surface often determine whether something will endure.

Those lessons followed me into the study of Scripture, service in the church, and eventually the writing of stories.

If these stories leave readers with a greater love for Jesus Christ and a deeper confidence in God’s providence, they will have accomplished what I prayed they would.
